ABOUT NAILSEA RUNNING CLUB

A LOCAL, FRIENDLY & SOCIAL RUNNING CLUB FOR EVERYONE.

We are a friendly, inclusive, and sociable running club with a rich history. We are proud of our members, who range from regular park runners to ultra-marathon competitors and everything in between! Since our foundation in 1986, our club catchphrase has been ‘no runner left behind’, a tradition we continue to uphold.

Our members appreciate the friendly and welcoming atmosphere, where everyone, regardless of ability, feels included and valued. The club fosters a strong sense of community and positivity, with members supporting each other’s goals, whether they are social running or competitive achievements. People enjoy the variety of runs we offer, including off-road options as well as the accessible and affordable membership. Our leadership and organisation receive praise for being responsive and approachable, and the social events we host add to the enjoyment. Overall, the club is seen as an encouraging, safe space where runners can grow, challenge themselves, and have fun.

CLUB KIT

We have distinctive club colours, making it easy to spot us during races and find each other at the finish lines. We encourage all members to wear the club colours when competing.

We also strongly advise all members to wear reflective clothing and lights during the dark nights.

BUY CLUB KIT

Members can see browse and purchase kit on the ConnectMyClub app, and it can be customised with your name or preferred name.

WHERE & WHEN

We meet for our runs every Tuesday and Thursday at 7pm from Nailsea & Backwell Rugby Club.

Some off-road runs may start from other places nearby to offer variety. This consistent schedule allows all our members can plan their participation in advance. If you want to run with us, you need to be a member so can keep all your details for safety reasons. We also want you to take part in our wonderful social activities throughout the year, which are only available to club members.

We ask that everyone who runs with us sign in on the membership sheet on the notice board.

CLUB COMMITTEE

As a not-for-profit organisation, we are governed by a committee elected every spring at our Annual General Meeting. The committee meets on the second Tuesday of every month at the Rugby Club, and all members are welcome to join these meetings.
